Hi, I’m Alex!
I fell in love with photography when I accidentally made a double exposure at 8 years old and have been obsessed with the magic you can make with a camera ever since.
I majored in photography in my Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours degree at York University. After working in a camera shop and a portrait studio while I was in school, I went on to teach photography in high school for a decade before starting my business in 2013.
I have been described as “the ultimate hype woman”. I see the beauty in everything around me and will spend your session telling you all the awesome things I’m noticing.
I love working with kids and making them like me back. As a teacher I know how connect with kids and am great at getting them to have fun while also maintaining control of the situation.
I believe everyone is beautiful just the way they are. Like Kendrick says, I’m so sick and tired of the photoshop and don’t want my work to reinforce impossible beauty standards.
